Research and design project for Bianco Tangerine‘s exhibition during Graphic Days – in the City 2022. At the moment, it is located at Paratissima Circus.
Brief
During my curricular internship at Bianco Tangerine, I was asked to take care of a section of the exhibition, which theme was “monsters”.
Development
I decided to explore the global folklore, in order to make 6 maps representing 749 monsters from around the world. The maps, exploiting white paper’s glow to UV lights, show different categories of creatures: megafauna, microfauna, hybrids, anthropomorphic creatures, vampires and spirits. Every map displays: the number of monsters in the map, location circles, illustrations and descriptions/quotes about 9 chosen creatures (at least one per continent), a map legend symbolizing the monster’s habitat, time of action and dangerousness, and an infographic specific to the category presented.
Drifters magazine is an open box, meant to rebuild an emotional link with urban spaces, through the act of getting lost.
Brief
We had to curate an art direction project, starting with the input “viaggi come…” (journeys as…).
Development
We decided to explain the theme through the act of getting lost. Throughout history, this topic was well analyzed, especially by Situationists. Following their beliefs, we wanted to create something in which and for which people could get lost.
From there, we started developing Drifters, a magazine collecting other drifters’ (people who voluntarily get lost) experiences and built in such a way that the reader could lose their way while reading.
i muri sono… is an active community that lives in Murazzi del Po (Turin, Italy).
i muri sono… depicts contemporary beliefs, through the expressive act of writing in urban spaces.
i muri sono… is an exhibition of people’s minds through the creation of posters, regarding a determined topic.
Brief
The team was asked to design a site-specific project in Murazzi del Po, a very important area of the city of Turin.
Development
Thanks to the 4 phases leading to the exhibition (publication of the topic on Reddit, talks in Murazzi, call to action on the web app and workshop in Murazzi), the target would take part of the project, while being educated on the chosen topic of the month. The visual identity followed 3 parameters: 1 font (Antonio), which textually conveys the users’ message; 6 puntuaction symbols, that spread the users’ expression of the message; 8 colors, which represent the emotion linked to the message. The multiple combinations allow the creation of limitless posters.
This is a site-specific project, whose aim is to create a living ecosystem in one of the biggest public park in Turin: Parco Ruffini.
Brief
During 2021’s COVID pandemic, we had to develop a social design project, which needed to appeal to Turin’s territory.
Development
The team focused on a specific area of Turin (Parco Ruffini), making it a site-specific project. From the beginning, the location had potential: an interesting history background, a strategic position in the city and already built-in park’s resources. The main problem was that everything was being overlooked. And so we wanted to create a living ecosystem in the park, with working resources. The project’s outputs consisted of: site-specific outputs, such as the wayfinding system; editorial outputs, which are a brand manual, posters and a handbook; digital outputs, that are IG posts, a website and a teaser video.
Recap of the projects I curated while collaborating with RKH Studio.
Brief
From 2020 to 2021, I helped out the studio with assignments coming from the Graphic Design and Video Department, whose Head, at the time, was Edoardo Massaglia.
Tasks
The tasks varied from cover art to lyrics video for artists and clients of the studio.
Plus, I had the chance to create my first magazine (RKH Cinema – Magazine).
